57357 Healthcare sciences academy announces the launching of “The International Clinical Pharmacy Practice residency programs” on 11 November 2017. The pharmacy practice residency program provides training in overall delivery of healthcare with a major emphasis placed on drug-related issues and practices. During this one-year program, the resident effectively makes the transition from student to independent practitioner under guidance from the clinical faculty. The program also serves to prepare well those planning further specialized training.

Program Overview


Clinical Pharmacy is a process of drug therapy management which is patient centered, drug focused and outcome oriented. Clinical Pharmacy requires the pharmacist to work with the patient and other members of the healthcare team to promote health, to prevent disease and to assess, monitor, initiate and modify medication use to assure that drug therapy regimens are safe and effective. This curriculum is intended to meet the educational and practical needs of the clinical pharmacists and provide a framework for establishing an on-going continuing education program to meet the identified educational needs and to help them to improve their hospital practice with the ultimate goal of Good Hospital Pharmacy Practice and increased quality of both the life of the patient and the quality of health care services provided. Eligibility Criteria


  • • Pharm D or clinical pharmacy diploma, or B.Sc. in Pharmaceutical Sciences (clinical Pharmacy)

  • • Cumulative Grade : very good

  • • develop competent clinical pharmacists capable of practicing in any setting

  • • provide exposure to a diverse scope of pharmaceutical care services

  • • foster leaders in clinical pharmacy practice and education.
